What MyToolkitBox is

MyToolkitBox is a collection of free online tools for working with images, PDFs, text, code, conversions, and everyday business tasks. The site currently has no accounts, no backend processing of your content, and no databases storing your files.

Information processed locally

Many MyToolkitBox tools are designed to process your content directly in your browser. For those tools, the content you provide — such as images, PDFs, text, JSON, developer inputs like tokens, and business inputs like email addresses or QR code details — is processed locally on your device rather than uploaded to MyToolkitBox servers. When you close or refresh the page, that content is gone.

Some tools use browser features to do their work, such as reading files you select, drawing to a canvas, generating random values with the Web Crypto API, or copying results to your clipboard when you press a copy button. None of these send your content anywhere.

Information stored locally in your browser

A small amount of information is stored on your device by your browser to make the site more convenient:

Recently used tools. The site stores the IDs of up to eight tools you have opened recently (browser local storage key mtkb-recent-tools) so the homepage can show them to you. Only tool identifiers are stored — never the content you put into a tool, and never your files.

Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored locally (key theme) so the site remembers it on your next visit.

This information stays in your browser. It is not transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Browser caching (service worker)

MyToolkitBox uses a service worker, a standard browser feature, to cache the site's own files — such as pages and icons — on your device. This makes the site load faster and keeps parts of it available with a poor connection. This cache contains copies of the website itself, not your tool content or files, and it is not a cloud-storage service. Your browser may also cache pages in the normal course of browsing.

Cookies

MyToolkitBox does not currently use cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details about the browser storage technologies the site does use.

Analytics

MyToolkitBox does not currently use analytics or behavioral tracking services. We do not run Google Analytics, tag managers, session recorders, or similar tools.

Advertising

MyToolkitBox does not currently serve third-party advertising, and no advertising networks or pixels run on the site.

Contacting us

If you email us at hello@mytoolkitbox.com, we will receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. Please do not send passwords, confidential documents, or sensitive files by email — we do not need your content to help you, and email is not a secure channel for it.

Security

Because tools process content locally, there is very little of your information for us to protect or lose. We keep the site's dependencies up to date and serve the site over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we avoid promising absolute security — instead, we minimize what is collected in the first place.

Children's privacy

MyToolkitBox is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the site collects no personal information through its tools at all.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MyToolkitBox evolves — for example, if new features such as accounts or cloud storage are introduced in the future. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a future feature changes how your information is handled, this policy will be updated before that feature launches.
